Organized a Panel Session at Neural Control of Movement (NCM) 2026
On April 24, 2026, at the international conference Neural Control of Movement (NCM) 2026, held in Kobe, Professor Takahashi organized and chaired a panel session titled “Divergent Pathways, Convergent Function: New Physiological, Anatomical, and Theoretical Perspectives on Sensory-Driven and Top-Down Control of Rapid Eye Movements.”
The session featured researchers from Germany, the United States, and Japan, who discussed the latest anatomical, physiological, and theoretical findings on how bottom-up sensory input and top-down higher-order brain function coordinate to control eye movements.
The session generated lively discussion on new conceptual frameworks and future directions in eye movement research, providing a valuable opportunity to further develop international collaborative research.
