Professor Takahashi Gave Invited Talks in the Netherlands and the UK, November 2025

On November 12, Professor Takahashi and Professor Emeritus Yoshikazu Shinoda were invited to give a Neuroscience Lecture at Erasmus MC in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, hosted by Prof. Chris de Zeeuw. Professor Takahashi spoke on “Common Coordinate for 2D Saccade and 3D VOR Systems and Saccade Triggering System,” while Professor Shinoda presented on “Neural Substrates of Cerebro-Cerebellar Loop.” The lectures were followed by lively discussion with many researchers, and further connections were made during the reception afterward.

In the UK, Professor Takahashi attended the British Society of Neuro-Otology (BSNO) 2025 Conference, held at St Thomas’ Hospital, London, from November 12 to 14. This year’s conference was organized as a symposium celebrating the achievements of Professor Adolfo Bronstein, a leading figure in neuro-otology, and brought together renowned researchers from around the world, including Professor David Zee and Professor Ji-Soo Kim. Professor Takahashi gave an invited talk on the third day of the conference, which was followed by an active Q&A session.

This trip led to new connections with researchers in Japan and abroad, and further collaborative research is expected to follow.
