Awarded a Transformative Research Area (B) Grant
We are pleased to announce that the research project “Self-Formation Neuroscience: Decoding Self–Other Awareness through Gaze and Eye Movements,” led by Professor Takahashi as Principal Investigator, has been adopted as a Transformative Research Area (B).
This project aims to establish a new academic field, “Self-Formation Neuroscience,” by approaching the neural basis of self–other awareness through the lens of gaze and eye movements. Our laboratory, together with Dr. Ninomiya’s group at the National Institute for Physiological Sciences and Dr. Wen’s group at Rikkyo University, will work in close collaboration on this ambitious research that extends beyond conventional academic boundaries.
The project period runs for three years, from April 2025 to March 2028.
